Rumored Verizon iPhone release date true?

A Verizon iPhone release date has been long rumored and hoped for by cell users not on the AT and T network. Though rumors have been running rampant for at least two years, an article in the Wall Street Journal sent stock markets and customers’ hearts thumping with a supposedly confirmed Verizon iPhone release date. According to the Wall Street Journal article, a Verizon iPhone release date could be as early as September or October. Some market watchers are saying that the iPhone Verizon release date is a rumor that simply isn’t supported. Should you believe the rumors and get payday loans to cover this new Verizon gadget?

CDMA network compatibility will determine the Verizon iPhone release date

Some say that the Verizon iPhone release date could be in October of this year. Apple is also suspected to be working on a thinner, faster iPhone. Both of these rumors are based on the belief that Apple is working on a CDMA wireless network processor.

Qualcomm confirmed they’re designing an Apple CDMA chip, but also told CNN they would be “very hard pressed” to complete it by the end of 2010. No amount of easy cash loans can speed up the manufacturing process for a chip that has been in development for years. If Qualcomm really is manufacturing the Apple CDMA chip, the iPhone would need to be re manufactured to work with the new chip.

2011 is target date for Verizon iPhone release

Yes, there are technology issues with a Verizon iPhone. The WSJ article quote says that Apple only “appears to be” working on a Verizon-compatible handset. Apple has not made it a big secret that they are working on a CDMA or WCDMA chip for iPhones.

Apple “appears to be working on” a Verizon iPhone, but that does not mean it will be released this year. Most industry watchers agree that if it happens, the Verizon iPhone will release in 2011.
